A Study on influencing internet game addiction to need dissatisfaction of junior high school students

Abstract

This study aims to find that if junior high school students` needs dissatisfaction have influence on intemet game addiction and those relationship. And based on this study, it is willing to find method of intervention which prevent internet game addiction through sound need satisfaction, To achieve this aims, this study divides up needs to belonging need, power need, freedom need, pleasure need, survival need through theory of need by Glasser. The result of this study is as follows. First, need satisfaction and internet game addiction have negative correlation, so status lower need satisfaction has influence on internet game addiction, Second, SEM (Structural Equation Model), to find if impulsiveness carry the relationship about need satisfaction and internet game addiction or not, it shows that impulsiveness mediated between need satisfaction and internet game addiction. Through the following results, the suggestion for prevention from internet game addiction of junior high school students` is as followed. Based upon these findings we suggested to healthy practical implication for need satisfaction.
